Displaying your skills and experience on line via an e CV is a highly effective way of presenting your credentials to a very wide range of employers; what it is not is a conventional CV displayed on line. Each e-CV is individually designed and written for a web audience making the value of the candidate immediately obvious to any recruiter.

About your Personal Web Site
Instructions on how to activate your order, upload images, supply content and link with your consultant are contained in an email you will receive confirming your order.
Your Personal Web site will be hosted free of charge for six months within the Perfect CVs site at an address with the format www.perfectcvs.co.uk/YOURNAME/ . Longer term hosting and other hosting options can be purchased at any time.
Your Web Site will be managed by Perfect CVs and can be updated or amended at any time the site is live free of charge. We reserve the right to make a charge if the changes involve fundamental design alteration. Management includes site optimisation and search engine submissions etc.
Maximum size available is 500mb sufficient space for 10 - 12 pages, more space can be purchased if required; maximum monthly traffic is 25GB a far higher volume than is ever likely to be reached
Images that you wish included should be supplied in jpeg, gif, png or ai format, any size, we will size and crop them as appropriate. If you are not familair with electronic image formats dont worry, just let your consultant know, send what you have and we will sort it out.
Flash images can be included as appropriate either supplied or constructed by our web team, examples of how flash images may be used can be seen e.g. at the top right of this page or see the scrolling text and revolving product images and descriptions on our home page.
Videos, max aggregate play time of 12 minutes, and maximum play time of an individual video of 3 minutes can be displayed at a maximum size of 300 x 200 pixels; these should be supplied in flv or swf formats
You can link to your site directly from any network web site, directory or quote it directly to recruiters. It should also be included in a conventional electronic or paper version of your CV.
The files used to construct your Personal Web Site will be retained on our computer system and web servers during the period when your site is live and for 30 days thereafter, unless you specifically request that we retaiin them for a longer period on your behalf.
Hosting Options for your e- CV / Personal Web Site
The standard free hosting is for a period of 6 months as described above. This can be renewed as required.
OR
Your Web Site can be hosted independently (remote hosting) with its own dedicated domain name for periods of 6, 12 or 24 months and renewable thereafter. We will manage registration of your domain name (usually your name or a varient of it), activation of the site and on going management of the site and domain name during the chosen period. Your site address will be www.yourdomainname.co.uk (or.com). Updates and amendments will be made free of charge during the period the site is live but we reserve the right to make a charge if the changes requested involve fundamental design change. Management includes site optimisation and submission to search engines etc.
OR
A domain name (usually your name or a version of it) can be purchased and used to link to your Personal Web Site hosted within the Perfect CVs site. We arrange this for you or transfer an existing name to our management.
Personal Web Sites/ e CVs are NOT conventional CVs displayed on line
Personal Web sites are not simply on line CVs and are no substitute for a profesionally constructed conventional CV. e CVs present a complete picture because the summary of skills, experience, employment history, achievements, style, etc can be fully described on separate pages allowing the reader to select what they need to see without compromising the key "hire me because" statements. Further, e CVs have been shown to create a considerably stronger impression on the recruiter because design, pictures and colour form part of the communication that words on paper or screen cannot achieve.
e CVs are ideal when examples of e.g. graphic work need to be displayed to a potential recruiter or for consultants and interim managers that need to validate their skills in case studies of work undertaken. Most recruiters are now scanning the business and social network sites for suitable candidates for their vacancies; a candidate that offers a complete picture by a simple cklick through is far more likely to get the interview invitation.
